  1. What are the scholarship application eligibility criteria?

The scholarship is open to Syrians with Temporary Protection Status, International Protection Status Holders and Citizens of the Republic of Türkiye.

This scholarship program is offered in collaboration with Consortium Partners, and only students studying in the following provinces are eligible to apply: Ankara, Kayseri, Eskisehir, Konya, Trabzon, Karabuk, Samsun, Izmir, Erzurum, Adana, Mersin, Hatay, Elazig, Gaziantep, Kilis, Sanliurfa, Malatya, Kahramanmaras, Diyarbakir, Mardin, Van, Istanbul, Bursa.

The eligible departments and faculties for application include Engineering, Economics, Administrative and Social Sciences, Business Administration, Design and Architecture, Art and Science, Education, Law, Language, Medicine, Dentistry, Pharmacy, and Communication.

  1. When and where can scholarship applications be made?

All scholarship applications will be received exclusively through the official website. It is important to note that we will not be accepting applications through any other channels.

To be considered for this scholarship, eligible candidates must complete the scholarship application form.

The deadline for the scholarship application is 1 November 2023

  1. How will scholarship applications be evaluated?

Applications from eligible candidates are meticulously reviewed by the Scholarship Offices in respective regions based on several criteria, including academic standing, qualifications, academic interests, and involvement in social activities. Successful students are not required to undergo an additional interview, but any missing documents should be promptly completed.

  1. What level of education students are eligible for scholarships?

Scholarships are provided to undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral students.

  1. What is required for the scholarship to continue / Under what conditions is the scholarship canceled?

Consistency of declared information, keeping your eligibility information up to date, adherence to disciplinary rules and compliance with national and international policies and procedures, successful completion of the academic year and prevention of repetition, notification of citizenship or status changes, absence of intervals exceeding three months, such as continuous enrollment, military service, family reasons, prolonged absence, or leaving the country, receiving sponsorship or scholarships from other consortia, particularly ESPS are the important factors.

The continuation and cancellation terms are detailed in the scholarship agreement that students who are eligible for scholarships will sign.

  1. If I receive a scholarship, is there a requirement for repayment or mandatory service later on?

There is no repayment or mandatory service required.

  1. When and where will the scholarship results be announced?

Through email, applicants will be notified of the result of their application by 1 December 2023.

  1. Are stipend and tuition fee applications made separately? / What are the Scholarship Contents?

All eligible students can apply for either university tuition or stipend (pocket money), but only one type of scholarship can be awarded per applicant.

  1. Can students studying abroad apply for scholarships?

No. This scholarship program is offered in collaboration with Consortium Partners, and only students studying in the following provinces are eligible to apply: Ankara, Kayseri, Eskisehir, Konya, Trabzon, Karabuk, Samsun, Izmir, Erzurum, Adana, Mersin, Hatay, Elazig, Gaziantep, Kilis, Sanliurfa, Malatya, Kahramanmaras, Diyarbakir, Mardin, Van, Istanbul, Bursa.

  1. What should be done after applying for a scholarship?

The evaluation of applications will conclude on December 1, 2023, and successful applicants who qualify for the scholarship will be notified via email.

  1. How to Cancel the Scholarship Application?

You can convey your request for the cancellation of your scholarship application to the relevant scholarship offices.

  1. Can both stipend and tuition fees be received at the same time?

All eligible students can apply for either university tuition or stipend (pocket money), but only one type of scholarship can be awarded per applicant.

  1. What financial procedures do students receiving scholarships need to complete?

After receiving the scholarship award, you will be required to provide a EURO bank account for funds transfer. If you are in Bursa or Istanbul, the Scholarship Office may request you to open a Vakıfbank EUR account, while if you are in Elazığ, Gaziantep, Kilis, Şanlıurfa, Malatya, Kahramanmaraş, Diyarbakır, Mardin, or Van, they may request you to open a Denizbank EUR account. To receive your scholarship, it is necessary to open the EUR account from the bank specified by the relevant scholarship office. The details regarding which banks should be used for transactions, depending on the scholarship office, are specified in detail in the scholarship agreement that successful scholarship recipients will sign.

  1. When are the payments for scholarship recipients made?

The student will receive reimbursement for the tuition twice upon submission of the tuition receipt, subject to eligibility. Stipends are distributed every three months.

  1. Do students who cannot complete their education within the regular duration still have the right to receive scholarships?

In the case of absence of intervals exceeding three months, such as continuous enrollment, military service, family reasons, prolonged absence, or leaving the country, the student may lose their scholarship rights.

  1. Can students enrolled in distance learning or open education programs receive scholarships or financial aid?

No, Scholarships are provided to undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral level students.
